Kunini was founded on Koh Samui by Daniel Parsons and Khun Sataporn, with a vision to provide professional, reliable electrical services and exceptional customer service to businesses and homeowners in Thailand.

Kunini was founded in August 2002 on Koh Samui by Daniel Parsons and Khun Sataporn — two people who believed that Thailand’s businesses and homeowners deserved access to professional, reliable electrical and energy services, delivered by people who would still be there long after the job was done.
The company has grown and evolved considerably over the past two decades. We have refined our operations, expanded our service offering, and developed our team — but the founding principle has never changed: say what you mean, do what you promise, and stand behind your work.
In 2010, Kunini installed the first solar rooftop system in Hua Hin — a milestone that reflected both our early commitment to renewable energy and the confidence our clients placed in us to lead the way. Since then, solar has become a core part of what we do, growing from single residential installations to large-scale commercial systems, private PPAs, and fully managed solar energy contracts for hotels, resorts, and retail properties across Thailand.
Today, our head office is in Hua Hin, with a branch office in Pattaya and project teams working nationwide. We serve residential clients, commercial businesses, hospitality operators, and industrial facilities — across every stage of the project lifecycle, from initial design through to long-term maintenance.

What We Do
Kunini operates across two core disciplines — solar energy and electrical contracting — and we are one of the few companies in Thailand with genuine in-house capability across both.
On the solar side, we design, install, and maintain grid-connected and hybrid solar systems for homes and businesses. We also operate as a solar developer, offering Private Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and Solar Energy as a Service (EaaS) contracts for commercial clients who want the benefits of solar without the capital outlay. And for eligible residential customers, we manage the full application process for Thailand’s Feed-in Tariff programme through the PEA and MEA.
On the electrical side, we are a licensed electrical contracting firm working across residential, commercial, and industrial projects — new builds, full renovations, power distribution, switchgear, EV charging infrastructure, generator connections, and more. How We Work
There are a lot of solar and electrical companies operating in Thailand. What separates the good ones from the rest is not the equipment — it is the process, the people, and what happens after the installation is complete.
At Kunini, every project starts with design. Our own engineers assess your site, your energy profile, and your goals before any equipment is specified or any proposal is made. We do not sell you a system and move on. We design a solution that fits your building, your budget, and your long-term needs — and then we stand behind it.
For the installation itself, our licensed electricians and trained solar technicians lead every project. On larger installations, we work with a select group of approved contractors for the labour component — but every one of those teams works under the direct supervision of a Kunini engineer. We never hand a project over and walk away. Our engineer is on site, the quality standards are ours, and the responsibility is ours.
All commissioning, system testing, and grid compliance checks are carried out by our own team. Once a system goes live, ongoing monitoring, maintenance, and any servicing work remain with Kunini — not with a third party. When something needs attention, you deal with the people who built your system and know it inside out.
We are not a call-out firm. We do not send a technician to fix someone else’s work. What we do is take on projects we believe in, deliver them to a standard we are proud of, and maintain a long-term relationship with every client we work with.
The Team
Kunini’s team of 17 brings together Thai and international professionals across engineering, electrical installation, project management, and client services. Our engineers hold the relevant Thai electrical licensing and have hands-on experience across hundreds of solar and electrical installations — from single-phase residential systems to large commercial rooftops and complex electrical fit-outs.
Our teams are based in Hua Hin and Pattaya, with project capability nationwide. Many of our clients have been with us for years — coming back for new projects, referring colleagues, or returning as their properties and businesses grow. That kind of relationship is not built on a single transaction. It is built on showing up, doing the work properly, and being reachable when you are needed.

Kunini just finished our solar install at our Pattaya home. It’s amazing how much they got done in just three days. From start to finish it has been a excellent experience working with Daniel and his team. Tempted now to go out and buy an EV just so I can use the excess power generated by the system.

Price quoted was around the same as another two companies I contacted what sealed the deal for me was the communication. The installation team turned up on the day given and knuckled down and got the job done in a speedy and efficient way. After sales service at the moment is very good so no reason not to give 5 stars.

Kunini is my 1st choice if I need any kind of electrical installation in Thailand. In the past I tried a few other companies but they were all lacking of safety, accuracy and craftsmanship. In December 2023 I have decided to equip my shop and my private home in Pattaya with a solar system and based on a recommendation from another friend I got in contact with Daniel. I was impressed from first visit and the professionalism and experience. From first visit to the first installation was only 2 weeks. The team of technicians are awesome. Communication even in English worked and they really did a very nice job. Everything looks fantastic and since end of December 2023 the system (Huawai) is working seamlessly! This system has no battery but the design from Kunini fits fantastic and the results are around 60%/40% Solar/Grid – exactly as Daniel forecasted.
the second project was bigger and included a battery. Daniel recommended an Alpha system which as well works with no interruption since Jan 2024. Even Power shut downs in my village I not even realised. My Computer, which needed to be on all the time was not powered down – the Alpha is working as a UPS and it just works. The savings situation is the same like with the Huawai system.
As this is my personal home it was a little bit more critical to get a good installation. The team from Kunini did this in 4 days and only at the last day they have requested to come into the house. They worked very clean, quiet (besides some wholes they had to drill) and unobtrusive. It is just fun working with these guys.
After this they have helped me as well with some other construction and always the same experience. The best thing is if there is an urgent job which happened as well they just do everything it takes to support.
I really recommend Kunini as your choice for any kind of electrical construction at an outstanding quality! Thank you Kunini for all your support and your nice work.

Very satisfied with the job Kunini did. Of the 3 companies i contacted for a quote, they were the only one who actually came to my house free of charge to discuss my requirements and explain how and where they would install everything. They went over my electricity usage before recommending anything. The other companies just asked a few questions over the phone and sent a quote via email.
Installation was done quickly and efficiently and within the timeframe they promised. Everything was tested in my presence.
During the first full month of use my electric bill was reduced by about 70%, which was inline with what Kunini estimated.
Would highly recommend them if you are looking for a good solar installation for your home.

I had an alpha g3 s5 hybrid solar system with 30 kw of storage installed by Kunini. From start to finish it was a painless process. I met with Daniel first in Pattaya. he not only explained everything and showed the capabilities of the phone app, he also showed me a project Kunini had done and allowed me to talk to the end user. His install team was professional and very competent. I could not be happier with the end result. This is a much deserved 5 star review. I cannot recommend Kunini or the alpha system more.

Kunini did a professional job in all aspects, from explaining how the system is working, visiting the house to planning the installation.
It just took two days before the system started up, no mess at all.
I got the system running for over 2 years without a problem and save around 3.000
baht a month.

As an interior designer and property developer, I have experience with countless contractors. My experience with Kunini has been nothing but excellent from site survey to quotation to installation. Top selection of solar products and very professional installation. Even ensured worksite was clean every day before leaving. The solar panels and batteries are working perfectly. 110kw of production per day. Team went over and above to avoid drilling my walls and roof for the installation which was much appreciated. The job was surveyed in advance, several professional quotes prepared. Questions asked and answered. Then a final quote and start date decided.
Through-out the job Daniel re-jigged the specifications to suit my Home’s unique requirements. The finished job showed professionalism and attention to detail that I had hoped to achieve.

I contacted Kunini Solar Company about six months ago. We spent some time discussing the installation of a solar system for my home in Hua Hin. The work was pleasant and efficient. I felt I chose the right company; their staff is highly competent and very pleasant. The installation and assembly of the system were completed exactly on schedule. All my requests were taken into account, and the project was executed very well. I believe Kunini Solar Company’s prices are average for the market for these services, which is reasonable. I also asked the engineers to add a power supply for an electric vehicle to the project, install a separate energy meter for charging the vehicle, and a separate wall box for installing the charger. The materials, components, and equipment used are of very high quality. The installation was also high-quality, very neat, and beautiful, so the equipment did not spoil the appearance of my home. The system has been working perfectly for about five months, and I am very pleased with the project. I enjoyed the project and interacting with these wonderful people. I am very grateful to the entire team at Kunini Solar Company and wish them much success in their work, many projects, plenty of money, and good health for everyone and their families. Very pleased with our 15kw Solar + 15kw battery hybrid solar system. Kunini was very helpful in answering questions and designing a system that met my requirements including two home visits to sort out my queries.

Kunini installed a Solar rooftop at my house in Pattaya.
We have a Deye 12kW Hybrid Inverter with 4 StelTec batteries (5.22kWh each), and a 13kW Solar PV Array with Jink Solar Panels. We have enough solar power for our daytime power needs and enough battery storage to get us thru the night.
We are very happy with the installtion, everything went well and the Kunini Team did a great job!

Hello Daniel. A 5 KW system was just installed here in Hua Hin by the company Kunini Solar. I am happy to have chosen Kunini Solar. The craftsmen are extremely competent, friendly and do an excellent job. In any case, I will also recommend Kunini Solar to my friends. I’m very satisfied with Kunini. The whole process from evaluating what kind of solar system that was optimal for us, to the service after the installation has been very good. The electric installation work is much better and more professional than anything I’ve experienced before in Thailand. I recommend Kunini for everyone who wants to know more about solar system.

We are an existing Enphase solar user here in Western Australia, but trying to find a company in Thailand that could perform a full Enphase system/Panel installation for our parents home was like pulling teeth.
I tried over six different companies and the only one that was upfront and had great 1st person presentation was Kunini electrical & solar.All the others wanted to move low quality systems, and didn’t know about a quality tier 1 system such as Enphase or Sunpower Panels which was frustrating as an existing solar user. Daniel from Kunini provided excellent communication and his team are the antithesis of professional as their whole business is vertically integrated so at no stage is the work palmed out which is very common in Thailand.
If your in need of a quality system installed by highly competent and professional people that are passionate at what they do, than simply reach out to Kunini electrical and solar, the best call you will make.

I tried contacting 3 companies to provide a quote for my residential solar PV installation in Kanchanaburi district. Kunini were the first to respond and also the most professional in the way they responded.
The quote they provided was favourably comparable to the others but even though they charged a small fee to work ‘out of area’ it was still good value and they spent time and trouble explaining the pros and cons of PV installation.
The installation team took three days, 4 young men who were polite, helpful and completed the work to an excellent standard and a knowledgeable engineer who came on the final day to set up the system. The Kunini team found cracked ceramic tiles on my roof and offered to replace those, free of charge, as we had some spare tiles.
The communication throughout the process was excellent by phone, email and on site. The payment options were presented as detailed company invoices.
