{"id":35966,"date":"2024-06-30T11:46:15","date_gmt":"2024-06-30T04:46:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/md-in-37.whb.tempwebhost.net\/~webindvw\/projects\/kunini\/?p=35966"},"modified":"2025-05-28T05:20:42","modified_gmt":"2025-05-28T05:20:42","slug":"new-install-overview-rainer-lang-black-mountain-hua-hin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kunini.com\/th\/new-install-overview-rainer-lang-black-mountain-hua-hin\/","title":{"rendered":"New Install Overview : Rainer Lang (Black Mountain &#8211; Hua Hin)"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p><strong>Name of client:<\/strong>\u00a0Rainer Lang<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Location: Near Black Mountain, Hua Hin<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Size of project:<\/strong>\u00a010kW Solar Hybrid<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Equipment used:<\/strong>&nbsp;We used<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>\u00a0Alpha T10 HV, 10kW Solar Hybrid Inverter<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>2 Alpha Batts 8.2kWh each, usable capacity 15.6kWh.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li> Solar Panels: 27 Longi 550Wp (Half Cell, 72 Cell Solar Panel Mono-Crystalline 550Wp &#8211; T1) total 14.85kWp. <\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Solar mounting was ballast type, no penetration into the slab roof, we used SunForSun mounting structure. <\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>In addition, we installed a three-phase Solar Combiner Box on the DC side we used DC Fuses, DC Isolation and DC Surge Protection. <\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>On the AC side we installed a 4 pole RCBO for the inverter and AC Surge Protection. <\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>The entire Solar Array has been grounded to the main MET terminal in the Combiner Box. Solar Cables are Hukabel and MC4 connectors are Link.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>On the AC side we installed a 2 pole RCBO for the inverter and AC Surge Protection. The entire Solar Array has been grounded to the main MET terminal in the Combiner Box. Solar Cables are Hukabel and MC4 connectors are Link.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Challenges:<\/strong> With this installation Kunini was the main electrical contractor so the solar PV system was designed with the electrical system. We designed the MDB panel to have a designated supply for the Solar PV System and all the backup loads were separated and installed into a separate Distribution Board during the electrical installation. The roof is a flat concrete design with a waterproof membrane. To avoid any potential issues in the future we installed the solar panels as Ballast Type, meaning we fixed concrete blocks to the roof with concrete glue then installed the solar mounting on the blocks.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Interesting attributes <\/strong>: by having this type of installation you have the added advantage of having a reserve power supply in the event of a power outage. In addition, the batteries can be programmed to \u2018discharge\u2019 to the load in the evenings giving further savings. Customers with Solar Rooftops can take advantage of the TOU type meter giving Peak and Off-Peak utility rates.
